Institutional / Centre Base Dual Training
In this system, trainees are directly enrolled at the National Level Training Institutes or at the Apprenticeship training centers for a specific period of institutional training followed by an On-the-Job Training (OJT) component in public or private sector industrial organizations. At the Institution or the training centre theoretical and practical component of the training are provided. The duration of the courses varies from 01 to 04 years.
NAITA conducts apprenticeship programmes in the following industrial sectors, by placing trainees in apprenticeships in various trades in industrial and commercial enterprises.

The programmes at national level institute are conducted at IET – Katunayaka, ATI – Katubedda and AETI – Orugodawatta. The other training programmes are conducted in island wide through NAITA District offices. For more details contact National Institute or nearest District office.
